Trying to transition to fall clothing while living in the South is not very seamless. It'll still be 90 degrees in late September (no complaints here coming from the Midwest), but when you're ready for darker colors and heavier layers, you either sweat your tail off or instead opt for something like this outfit. The deeper hue and pattern mixing are a perfect way to make the transition (at least in my head) much smoother.

Statement Necklace Part 2
As promised, here is my second look sporting this Kate Spade statement necklace (see Part 1 here). Perfect for work, church, brunch or even running errands, I wanted to show how you can tone down an otherwise bold piece using similar shades. Plus, a monotone look is one of the easiest ways to look pulled together without much effort (which is always a plus in my book)!

Statement Necklace Part 1
I've "owned" this Kate Space necklace for over a month now - I say "owned" loosely because this is another borrowed piece from my Mama, but she does live 700 miles away, so technically it's been in my possession longer! I got off subject here, didn't I? Anywho, this statement necklace with its large, faceted beads and multi-strand layers make it truly an outfit of its own, but rather than sporting my skivvies with it, I accented it with a graphic t-shirt and my favorite white skinny jeans. Perfect with heels for a date night or casual enough with flats for running around. Tomorrow, I'll be showing how I paired this orange stunner in a more monotone look.
Have a great week!

Stripes and Leopard
These Steve Madden leopard sneakers have been on my wish list ever since I saw this photo on Pinterest. Fast forward to this month, and my eternally thoughtful mother surprised me with an early birthday gift! Long story short, I envision my fall/late summer fashion to be chock full of these cuties.

Blues
My little man started first grade this week and while we were all ready for school to start back up, I can't help feeling a little blue about him gone all day. Nevertheless, I still have two have little ones left at home who keep me smiling and busy each day while their big brother is off learning and growing.
On to today's look - it's been extremely humid in these parts the past few weeks and a breezy outfit like this is all I desire to wear most days. So looking forward to the autumn days ahead! I also wanted to mention a local fundraiser for a sweet boy I met this summer during my kids' VBS workshop who touched my heart and gives me hope for any obstacle we may face in our lives. Conner was born with brittle bone disease and is in need of a new wheelchair and in-home care. All funds raised go directly to him and his family. If you feel so inclined to learn more or to donate, please visit All Things Possible Ministries.
Wishing you all a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!
