Peasantly Surprised

Peasant blouses appear to be a trend this spring and summer season (examples here, here and here) and I'm loving the boho look and breezy feel of them. They are perfect for cool spring days with a pair of skinny jeans or warm enough for the hotter days ahead with shorts and sandals. Have fun with colors or pattern mixing or go for an angel effect in all white.

Cinched Stripes

I truly believe any silhouette (be it a dress, shirt, bag) with these rugby stripes, is an instant classic and a timeless piece to own. What I love most about this look (and this and this - I think I have a problem!) is it only requires a few pieces to to look pulled-together. For a busy mom, that's perfection. Long Shorts and Short Hair

I've owned these seersucker bermuda shorts for several years now and although they may not be the most flattering fit for my body type, I still love the look of them. Last week, I chopped a couple inches off my hair and added blond highlights for the first time in over a year. While it's taken a little while to get used to the new color, I'm smitten with the cut especially with the 90 degree weather we've been having as of late!

Printed Blouse

A graphic print blouse is a great way to add a little vibrancy to your everyday look. I kept it more casual with chino shorts, a beaded necklace, and comfortable thong sandals but have also worn it with skinnies and heels for a night out. Have a happy Monday, friends!

Tank and Jeans

I had lots of running around to do today, so a simple black tank top and distressed jeans kept me casual and comfortable. And finishing off the look with a statement necklace and my black patent leather birkenstocks (yes, birkenstocks!) added just enough glam for running around town.

The Way You Make Me Feel and Color Brigade Linkup

I'm not typically a dress wearer, but in anticipation of the hot summer months ahead, I picked up a couple new breezy ones at Old Navy and am loving their versatility. The white eyelet number (last seen here) and this blush pink shirtdress are both comfortable and easy to throw on at a moments notice, and both make me feel put together in a way that only a dress can. It's the feminine, flirty and laid-back spirit that I'm loving.

p.s. Happy 8th Wedding Anniversary to my honey! We've been to a lot of places, lived a lot of places and sacrificed a lot of things and I wouldn't have wanted to do it with anyone else!
