Inspired by...A House in the Hills

Ever since I pinned this floral and denim outfit from A House in the Hills, I've been searching for a colorful spring top to match it. And I just found something similar enough to inspire today's look. Plus, it was a great top to pair with my new INPINK necklace that just arrived in the mail. Don't you just love it when the stars align perfectly!

A Smart Three-Year Old

I've owned this cardigan for a little now and had some trouble figuring out what to wear with it. It's such a gorgeous color with a neutral base, but for some reason I just couldn't find anything I was happy to pair it with. Then, my daughter pulled out a head to toe yellow outfit for school that had my wheels turning. So, I figured I'd give the yellow on yellow a try myself and was pleasantly surprised. You get inspiration from the darnedest places, right?

Bright Shades

I just couldn't help myself in repeating this bag. I can't seem to get enough use out of it! In any case, this is a great example of how a bright color works well with other brights, especially when they're in the same color family. Orange is the new black!

Coral

I've been looking for a bright colored crossbody purse for a little while now and finally found this gorgeous, perfectly sized, and affordable coral number at TJ Maxx (that place really is a treasure)! The beauty of it is that it can add a pop of color to an otherwise neutral outfit, or compliment other bright hued pieces. I'm thrilled to have found this steal and can't wait to style it with other outfits!

Green with Gold

I'm not sure I would have ever put this bright lime green with vintage gold accents, but somehow it mixed together nicely for this outfit. Plus, I really love the black and gold against this bright green, so when I dug this old Lacoste watch out of my jewelry box, I was thrilled at how well it coordinated. Oh, the little things, right?!

Green Colorblock

This knit and silk sweater from the Philip Lim for Target line has been my favorite purchase for a long time now. Colorblocking seems to still be on trend this spring, so I definitely plan to keep this lightweight shirt in heavy rotation in the months to come.

Inspired by...Chic Street Style

Here is the second installation of my Inspired by series (here was the first). One of my favorite parts of starting this blog has been gathering fun outfit inspirations that I can mimic myself (either cheaper or more realistic for a stay-at-home-mother - i.e. not wearing 20 dangly bracelets on each arm or sky high heels). So when I came across the photo of Chic Street Style's necklace layering on her instagram feed, I was excited to find something totally do-able for anyone. Plus, discovering Brenna's blog has given me even more inspiration for my daily get-ups. Thank you to Chic Street Style for making my closet predicaments a little easier!

Golden Date Night

These golden accessories and this soft knit sweater are a perfect date night ensemble - comfortable, chic and just fancy enough to make it feel special for my man. And believe me, a date night in and of itself is special enough for my husband and me, but I do enjoy adding a few extra sparkles here and there.

Speaking of sparkles, can we talk about all this shine? This gorgeous necklace is my new favorite piece and at under $25, it was a steal (a gifted steal in any case - thanks, Ma)! A second favorite of mine is this convertible clutch. Purchased awhile back at a local boutique in Key West, FL, it is still my go-to purse for weddings, nights out or special events.
