If you haven't heard of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, you probably shouldn't be reading this. But, if you have, here are my top picks from the highly anticipated clearance. Wedding Season

  

About seven or eight years ago, our summer wedding attendance was in the double digits. We were in our mid-twenties and everyone was getting hitched. Nowadays, weddings seem few and far between. So when we actually have one to attend (let alone a family affair like the one coming up this week), I try to find a dress that I'd wear again. While on vacation, I ran into a shop that had only been open for a couple months (Tucker's) and found this gem. It was the only one in my size and knew I wouldn't find anything better (you know when you find something and try to look for something cheaper or different, you just can't get that first one off your mind?) So...long story short, I snagged it up and couldn't be more excited to don it this coming weekend for my brother-in-law's wedding!

p.s. Please ignore the fact that the dress is in dire need of an iron!

Swingy Stripes

I don't visit Anthropologie very often (too far away and not a great place to shop with three kids - I mean the small breakable trinkets every 5" are too stressful for this mama), but when I do, I usually come out with amazing finds. For instance, this striped, swingy top was my latest discovery while actually searching for accessories for an upcoming wedding (Anthro has great jewelry on the cheap, right??). So, when I found this hanging on the sale rack I quickly changed suit. Thank you Anthropologie for always diverting my attention!

Chambray Pants

A lightweight, breezy blouse over an even more lightweight pair of chambray pants is exactly what I plan to wear for the upcoming holiday. We don't have any big plans except for hitting up the pool, watching the parade and barbecuing at home. So, I'm thinking this outfit will be on repeat!
