Easy Match

If I'm ever in a rush (always) or can not find anything that looks good together (constantly), this combo of stripes, a blazer and a bright statement necklace are my go-to for looking instantly pulled together without much thought. And bonus for having lots of options for the bottom half - distressed jeans, a-line skirt, shorts, white pants - the possibilities are endless! Here's to a stree-free week of easy dressing.

Trouser Jeans

I recently read this post about the dimishing popularity of the skinny jean, and couldn't have been happier. While I love the look of skinny jeans, the comfort level is next to nill when I'm running around with the kids all day long. So, when I scored these wide leg trouser jeans from my neighborhood's consignment Facebook page (yes, this exists and it's awesome), I was thrilled to put away my skinnies, at least for one day!

Stripes and Leopard

These Steve Madden leopard sneakers have been on my wish list ever since I saw this photo on Pinterest. Fast forward to this month, and my eternally thoughtful mother surprised me with an early birthday gift! Long story short, I envision my fall/late summer fashion to be chock full of these cuties.

Swingy Stripes

I don't visit Anthropologie very often (too far away and not a great place to shop with three kids - I mean the small breakable trinkets every 5" are too stressful for this mama), but when I do, I usually come out with amazing finds. For instance, this striped, swingy top was my latest discovery while actually searching for accessories for an upcoming wedding (Anthro has great jewelry on the cheap, right??). So, when I found this hanging on the sale rack I quickly changed suit. Thank you Anthropologie for always diverting my attention!

Dressing Down a Skirt

No question that the pattern and shape of this pencil skirt is universally flattering for all body types and perfect for an easy office look. But when you add a graphic t-shirt and sneakers, it is a great way to dress it down for an everyday look.

Classic and Comfortable

I really am a sucker for stripes. And in black and white with a vertical striped accent pocket, it was a perfect match. Add in this coral crossbody, and I was done. Easy, classic and comfortable.

Spring Break Stripes

We are leaving for spring break in a week and half and I couldn't be more excited. We are heading to Disney (yes, we must be crazy to venture there during probably the busiest time of year), but it's been almost 30 years since I've been to the Magic Kingdom and it'll be a first for the rest of our family. In any case, nautical stripes have always been a warm weather favorite of mine and this combo is no exception.
